Prayer to the Angel of Purity

If you dreamt of her,
that fair, perfect maiden,
the Angel of Purity,
know that it was I who called out to that Star
In the darkness of the night,
I prayed for that blinding Light,
begging that Spirit to fly to your side,
and retake your hand as your bride:
"Please, do not allow him to be lonely
Let him know that love does not belong to others, only
He is deeply missed
Please embrace him with a kiss
Let him know that he has not been wronged
Not one part of his heart has been pronged
Share with him your Sanctity and Peace
Let the beating of his heart never cease
Do tell him of my unconditional love
and remind him of the even Greater Love from above
Please fill his heart with compassion,
reminding him such should never be rationed
Also please, with your other hand, take his second
and place it into mine, as I have beckoned
Let me intertwine my fingers with yours,
turning our open arms into open doors,
that never close on any soul of pure heart,
ensuring that none of us will ever part."

The Only

It is a fact, I am the only
Must I be destined to live lonely?
Joy dwells with those born amongst many
Do I not deserve to have any?
I was born of a womb never shared
May I share the gift of being paired?
We must fulfill this natural need
The heart is not selfish to be freed
Life was given to love from on High
Therefore, each soul is destined to fly

Remorse of the Rose

The tragedy of the rose is its thorns
The existence of these it always mourns
It unintentionally causes scorn
It cannot help the way that it was born
For this reason, it will always feel lorn
It knows death comes swiftly once it is shorn
If it causes pain, when you reach to touch
It fills with sadness for you cannot clutch
It looks as if it is trying to please
This it wants, with no agenda to tease
If it has driven you to turn and stray
It desires not to force you to stay
Its aim was only to give love and care
With a pure heart, always, this it does swear

Silence of Virtue

I am thankful for the silence
It has replaced the violence
For once the ocean has been calm
I wade its waters with no qualm
Now that the waves have seemed to cease
my equilibrium finds peace
I still pray for winds to set sail
but none to cause a stormy gale
I wish for a journey of love
slow and soft on wings of a dove
May there be laughter and living
between hearts that keep on giving
And may the silence be broken
only by empathy spoken
for every side of this story
we call life and all its glory

Your Trial

You feel sorry for me?
How kind.
Do the blind truly see?
In mind.

And what about in heart?
If pure.
And if the two should part?
You're poor.
Do the two form the soul?
Of course.
What makes a person whole?
That source.

And what if it is dark?
You're blind.
How can it regain spark?
Be kind.

What if you live in lies?
Be true.
Will you then become wise?
In view.

You are not what you preach.
It seems.
How can you claim to teach?
In dreams.

Bosom of Sorrow

Life for the first and only time had meaning
You destroyed it with your negative weaning
Are you jovial now that you've brought me down
equal to your constant perpetual frown?
Just because you lost what you cherished and loved
in your bosom of sorrow I must be shoved
I feel your pain and witnessed it just the same
Why then must you shoot at me such hateful blame?
I, too, lost the most important part of me
Left with a he, I always needed a she
Why do you thrive with joy from my pain and tears?
Have I not earned freedom after all these years?
I do not know exactly how to please you
Is the answer to be underneath your shoe?
Though I love you, that is not humane nor right
You leave me with nothing but the choice of flight
And no matter what you say, my soul is good
I have always done what you taught that I should
You are my rock; I will never let you go
But I am not jovial; this you must know
